As of April 21 we have 60 days until race day! The numbers are in and our frozen force will be trekking cross country with 134 women making up 57 teams. In these 2 months we will be working on our route and finalizing other important details.

Its not too late to donate to our race! The foundation is still matching donations through June. Head on over to undalumni.org/airraceteam to donate!

Live ATC is the ARC's New Sponser

"LiveATC.net will put listeners in the cockpit of the Air Race Classic (ARC) race planes, as they hear the racers maneuver for position, line up for flybys, execute high-speed low passes over each timing line, and then either zoom off to the next stop or stop the clock, cool their engines down and land for fuel and a well-needed rest."

"LiveATC’s air traffic control monitoring will give Air Race Classic racers, their fans and their supporters a great way to follow them during the race, in real time,” said ARC President Lara Gaerte.

“LiveATC.net is pleased to sponsor Air Race Classic and bring live over-the-air radio calls from race pilots to a global audience,” said founder Dave Pascoe. “As a pilot myself, I believe strongly in the ARC mission and am excited that we can leverage our global ATC monitoring technology to help bring attention to the race. ARC continues a long tradition of women’s air racing, and we’re excited to be a part of it.”

At each location, LiveATC.net will beam live audio of the racers’ communications with air-traffic control, the timers on the ground and one another to a global audience of pilots, aviation enthusiasts, family and friends."

In the past they have used trackers in the planes so friends and family could get real time updates on the progress of their favorite pilots. With this edition they'll be able to hear them too!

If you're curious about LiveATC head on over to their website: LiveATC.net

Give Grand Forks International Airport a listen and maybe you'll catch one of our lovely pilots in the air!
